Hi! Today I’m doing a little review on a new foundation. After trying out MAC’s Matchmaster foundation this summer, I felt it was time to change things up and find a little more coverage without it looking too much.
Benefit launched their Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation after 3 years of creating it. Read more to see what I think!
I’ve been using MAC foundations for years, but felt like exploring, so I looked up which color would match my skin. (I’m NC30/NC35 MAC) and ordered it online, since we haven’t got a lot of beauty stores where I live that sell brands like Benefit, MAC or Bobbi Brown. I found out that Petal would match the yellow undertone of an NC 30, so I decided to give it a go. My MAC foundation was on it’s last few pumps anyway.
There are 9 shades available in this foundation. Luckily, the color ‘Petal’ really matches my skintone ,and since I’m currently not using any fake tan, I’m a little lighter than other times.
My skin without any make up and with the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation. It coveres my redness, blemishes and gives it a nice dewy finish. Which I like, but I do use a little powder to tone it down.
It’s a liquid foundation, quite thin and that makes it easy to build up. If you want more coverage, just add a little more. It’s smooth and, creamy and blends in really easy and nice with my skin. I’d say the coverage is from light to medium, it doesn’t cover all my imperfections, but I use a little concealer on the spots I need full coverage.
This foundation contains SPF25, so it is perfect to wear all year round. It lasts for about 6 to 8 hours, after that it becomes a little shiny on my forehead and cheeks, but If I use a little powder, that’s not a problem for me.
I really like this foundation, it has a really nice finish, dewy but not oily. This is my first time using a new brand besides MAC as a foundation, and it’s quite a succes! I think the price is about the same as my MatchMaster or Studio Fix Fluid, 35 euros. I can’t think of any down sides, maybe only 9 shades too choose from is a little limited, and I can imagine this can be a little to dewy or shiny for other skin types.
